EUROPEAN REGION SEVENTH DISPERSION DRINKING WATER
NETWORK CONSTRUCTION: ACTIVATION OF SPARE WATER OF THE
OMERLİ DAM IN İSTANBUL FOR EMERGENCY CASES
ISKI (The
Istanbul Water and Sanitation Administration) requested
the activation of the dam’s spare water to be used in
cases of draught, and our company was given the contract
on 17.10.2007. A floating pump station was built and
HDPE composite pipes with DN 1200 mm were immersed into
the dam lake.
Description & Services Provided:
▪ Design and as built drawings,
▪ Installation of the pump collector and the dam lid
collector.
▪ The connection of collectors to the 3 immersed PN 10
HDPE pipelines with DN1200 mm.
▪ The connection of 12 flexible pipes with DN 450 mm to
the pumping station placed on a pontoon and also to the
immersed collector.
Cost of project at completion:
2.1 Million TL
